Watch Trailer Park Boys

Canada's 'Trailer Park Boys' follows Julian (John Paul Tremblay) and Ricky (Robb Wells)--two ex-convicts who have recently been released (again) from prison--along with Bubbles, an awkward-but-friendly guy with thick glasses that lives in a shed filled with his many cats. Upon release, Julian and Ricky have returned home to Sunnyvale trailer park. Julian has hired a camera crew to film his transition to life as a free man again.

In reality, the series is the product of Mike Clattenburg, the creator, director and head writer. The show is a comedy produced in a fake documentary style. Although the show's plots are scripted, much of the dialogue is not, and like many other mockumentaries it is instead ad-libbed by the actors while they are in character. The central characters of Julian and Ricky have been criminals a long time, so long that they seem to know of no other way to live now. The show chronicles their often illegal attempts to gain wealth and happiness without landing back in prison. The trio is often thwarted in their plans by drunken authoritarian property manager Jim Lahey (John Dunsworth) and his shirtless brown-nosing assistant Randy (Patrick Roach). Added into the mix are the ex-girlfriends, neighborhood delinquents, white rappers, and assorted oddballs that the trio call their neighbors.

The adventures of the Trailer Park Boys can definitely get wild, with their plans often involving alcohol, marijuana, theft, con artistry, and/or sex, along with plenty of salty descriptions of the activities to go around. The boys do not hide their love of having a good time or their rough nature, and after all, it isn't a show about the Royal family. The program is intended for mature audiences that enjoy edgy, raunchy humor.
