Watch Drunk History


Drunk History is a television comedy show that is part of Comedy Central. It is a show that is based on the Funny or Die series which was created by a man named Derek Waters along with Jeremy Konner. During the show a narrator has difficulty recalling an event that took place in the history of the United States. At the same time the actors of the show display the dialogue of the episode. This show began airing in 2013 and has a total of five episodes. Each episode shows events that took place in five of America's major cities. The episodes take place in Washington D.C., Chicago, Atlanta, Boston and San Francisco. There are three events that the show examines during each of the episodes.

The first episode takes place in Washington D.C. During the episode, three historical events are examined and reenacted. The first part of the episode does a skit on the Watergate scandal involving former President Richard Nixon. Another event that is shown is the assassination of former president Abraham Lincoln. During this episode, there is also a reenactment of Elvis Presley meeting Richard Nixon.

Another episode and the second of the series is one that takes place in Chicago. In this episode, there is a skit about the Haymarket riot which was one of the more significant uprisings in American history. Then there is a retelling of Abraham Lincoln's past as a lawyer and lastly the show examines the life of former mobster Al Capone.

The third episode of this series takes place in Atlanta, Georgia. The first part of this episode will show you Martin Luther King Jr. meeting with former FBI director J. Edgar Hoover. Another part of the episode shows Stetson Kennedy infiltrating the Ku Klux Klan and lastly you will learn about the invention of Coca Cola. These are just a few of the main historical events that have taken place in the city of Atlanta.

In episodes 4 and 5 there are events that are shown to take place in Boston and San Francisco. Among these events include the life of Mary Dyer, an explanation about the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum art heist and also the reenactment of Johnny Cool who was the biggest arsonist in the city of Boston. There is a reenactment of events in San Francisco including the life of Mary Ellen Pleasant, the story of Mark Twain and also the kidnapping of Patty Hearst.
